Approach to Learning Difficulties
Multidisciplinary team to address learning difficulties
Learning difficulties do not always respond to a single cause. They can be related to neurological, emotional, motor, sensory, or postural aspects that interfere with the child’s ability to concentrate, read, write, or integrate into the classroom.
At Somat Clinic, in La Zenia (Orihuela Costa), we approach these difficulties from a bodily, sensory, and neurophysiological perspective, supporting the child and their family in a process of observation, understanding, and functional improvement.
Aware of the benefits that multidisciplinary work can bring to the process of learning and/or behavior in children, Somat Clinic provides families with the best professionals in the fields of Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Behavioral Optometry, and Speech Therapy.

How do we work?
Through a comprehensive evaluation of the nervous system and body, we seek to identify blockages or immaturities that may be interfering. We use techniques such as:
-
Primitive reflex integration
-
Craniosacral and fascial therapy
-
Sensory-motor stimulation
-
Postural and body organization exercises
-
Emotional support and work on family bonding
Each session is individualized and adapted to the child’s age and characteristics, with a respectful and playful approach that promotes overall development without pressure.
Learning also moves
We believe that the body is key in the learning process. Supporting the child through their sensations, movement, and emotions can unlock internal pathways that improve their ability to learn, express themselves, and relate to others.
